My 1st stacked cake...

I FINALLY took a "Tall Cakes" class!!!
I've been waiting for this class for what seems like FOREVER!!!  (lol)
In this class we learned the "proper" way to cover and stack fondant cakes.

In the end, we ended up with a plain stacked cake... an empty canvas (if you will).
There were so many design concepts to choose from... what to do, what to do?!?!?  lol :)
But... in the end, I ended up with this really pretty pale pink cake with black trim adorned with really feminie "ruffled flowers"...

I LOVED the way it turned out!!!
Can't wait to make another :)

My first "official" cuppie order...

Back in November, I was hired by a co-worker to make these yummy funfetti cuppies with pink buttercream for her intern's last day...

Not only were the cuppies YUMMY, but they looked totally FAB in the packaging :)

Winnie the Pooh & Tigger

Back in November, I was hired by my cousin (at the very very last minute... the night before the event) to make these cake toppers...

I stayed up ALL night but in the end was really happy with the outcome.
Not bad for my first attempt :)

Hello Kitty

This was one of my very first orders...  I was extremely excited but at the same time very nervous.
I wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and looking back... I think I did a pretty good job :)

The cake was a yummy funfetti with buttercream filling topped with a handmade fondant Hello Kitty accompanied by several dozen cuppies ALL topped with Hello Kittys and pretty pink flowers...

I couldn't find a Hello Kitty cutter anywhere so I made them all by hand.
It took a really LONG time but... they came out really cute :)

I absolutely LOVE her!!!
And this is the final product... <3

I just want to say Thank You to Mari for giving me the opportunity to make your daughter's 5th Birthday cake!
This one will always hold a special place in my heart... I will never forget it :)

Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookie cuppies

I found this recipe last October and was DYING to try it out (lol) so... I whipped up a batch and brought them to work with me.  Needless to say, they were an absolute HIT!  The girls LOVED them :)

One of these yummy cuppies made it's way into the hands of a fellow blogger who then posted a little blurb about "Cakes in a Cup" on her site.  This was a major milestone for me... I was super excited!!!

Special thanks to Lo and Harper :)

I Heart Makeup :)

These Red Velvet cuppies topped with red lipstick and purple eyeshadow were made for a very special co-worker's birthday.  She absolutely LOVES her makeup!!!  So... what better way to celebrate her birthday than with yummy cuppies topped with her favorite things (lol)?!?!?!?

Superman

The cake & cuppies were made for my loving Hubby's 31st Birthday.

He has been there for me through thick and thin so... when brainstorming for a theme... it dawned on me that I should totally incorporate Superman.  I mean... what better way to describe my Hubby (awe).

Sky scraper cake with Superman bobble head topper :)

I had a BLAST making these!!!  Not only were they fun to make (and yummy to eat), this cake marked the beginning of "Cakes in a Cup".  Since then, it's been a whirlwind but... I am enjoying every minute of it :)

Super Mario Birthday Cuppies...

Back in September, in made these fondant cuppie toppers for my BBFF's (lol) birthday...

They were all made by hand and it wasn't easy to do but... they turned out great!  They were a hit!
I mean... Who doesn't LOVE Super Mario?!?!?

Before there was "Cakes in a Cup"...

Sometime last Spring, while throwing around ideas for my Son's 1st Birthday Party, I had an epiphany (lol)... what if I, his loving Mommy (lol),  made his birthday cake?!?!?  I thought it was the BEST idea EVER and from that point on, the planning for the "big event" began :)

The theme was "Jungle Safari".
I spent many hours working on his cake and cuppies but... in the end, it was totally worth it.  I was extremely happy with the outcome and rec'd great feedback from my friends and family.

Looking back... I really had NO idea what my new found LOVE for baking had in store for me...
